Eye on Nation

my Eye sees
though my mind
seems to drift

my Eye sees
though my ears
are deafened

my Eye sees
though my tongue
speaks different

my Eye sees
what senses
mine defy

my Eye sees
laughter, tears
young and old

my Eye sees
a future
You and I

through this site
let words roll
Speak, my Eyes.

HEYHEYHEY. Its Asidah and Azyan heree. :D

From our opinions, this poem shows a bigger and magnified picture of the world or looking at a point of view. From perspective, using the 4 senses: sight, feel, speak, hear.
"my eye sees, my tongue..." "my eye sees what senses might defy".

Hi, i really like this poem as it shows of repetition about 'My eyes'
So the whole poem is actualy highlighting about the eyes!!!
It also shows that the author knows what were the others thinking by detecting the eyes.

Yes, indeed! This poem calls out to its readers to use their senses to experience what is happening in their lives, their community, their country and the world at large. There are times when our 'senses' 'defy' us. For example, we may speak ill of our loves ones or countrymen. We may fake ignorance and pretend not to hear the cries of the needy. But our heart sees what we try to deny and hide or run away from. Thus, 'my Eye' refers not to our pair of eyes since people could be blind to suffering. The 'Eye' here refers to our hearts that feel, the conscience does not deny and that which struggles against all other senses despise. Thus, this poem is encouraging its readers to be more active and involved in the community.

This poem uses repetition. It also uses the eyes to describe and feel the world. Trying to see the bigger picture. I think we're the one that decides our own future.
"my Eye sees
a future
You and I"
